Dear Sir,

628

24th November, 1922.

I am desired by Mr. Ormaby-Gore to write to you with reference to a letter of yours dated the 14th November, addressed to ir. leckett of this Office, in wnion you request an interview with the Parliamentary nder Secretary in the matter of the Yaumati Ferry Service,

Fr. Ormsby-Gore has read the correspondence on this subject, and notes your opinion as to the Company's claim for compensation in respect of loss of goodwill and deprivation of profits. He under- stands, however, that the Company nas, in this matter, been referred by pír ¿dward stubbs to their legal remedy, if any, and, in these circumstances, does not consider that there would be advantage in granting the

interview whion you request.

D. J. Lewis,

Yours very truly.
